Jane Bites Back by Michael Thomas Ford

First there was Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Seth Grahame-Smith (“the classic Regency romance-now with ultraviolent zombie mayhem!”), now we have popular essayist and novelist Michael Thomas Ford’s take on Jane Austen.  No zombies here but Lord Byron has turned Jane into a vampire, a vampire who currently owns a bookstore in upstate New York.    That’s right it’s Jane “The Fang” Austen.  Read an excerpt here.

I am a sucker for a sucker, or chocolate or cookies or candy bars or taffy…okay you get the picture.  So when I read about Katharine Weber’s new book, True Confections,  coming out this month, I was immediately intrigued.  A story of love, life AND sweets.  Check out Katharine Weber’s website for a synopsis and some sweet reviews.
