Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver

Poisonwood Bible by Barbara KingsolverTitle: Poisonwood Bible

Author: Barbara Kingsolver

Call #: KIN

This is the story of a man “who knew he was right,” even if that meant the destruction of his family. A compelling study of religion, arrogance and colonialism in the Congo in 1959.  If you belong to a book group, this is a natural for a spirited discussion.

  1. I was in a book discussion group that read this book a few years ago. We really enjoyed the faithfully maintained voice of each character as the chapters were told in one character’s voice and then another’s.
